Flood of Fire, May 30, 2009
Flood of Fire live at Eclipse, May 30, 2009.
Okay, I'm big enough to admit when I screw up and I screwed up here. The lighting for this show was abysmally horrible so I had to resort to on-board flash since I was travelling light and didn't bring any extra flashes with me. Now where I messed up is that I shot in aperture priority mode with flash so when the camera metered a very dark scene and set a slow shutter speed to compensate, the flash went off illuminating the subject, but since the shutter was still open afterwards, it produced the ghost images you see in most of these photos.
Now of course since I shot this on film, I could easily say that it's an "artistic effect" instead of an error.
Anyways, here are the details:
Equipment:
Canon EOS A2E, Canon 50mm f/1.8
Film:
Ilford HP5+ @ 3200, Xtol stock, 19 minutes.
